Celia is a Dayton School of Business Undergraduate and now Graduate student at Asbury.“I graduated undergrad this past Spring with degrees in Business Administration and Spanish. Now, I am currently seeking a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on nonprofit management. As a transfer student I felt my time here was going to be cut short, and I wouldn’t have the chance to make as many connections as most, but that couldn’t have been farther from the truth. Asbury provides so many opportunities for all students, and all of their needs. So go to that event, or join that small group- you never know what connections and friendships that will come from it!
My goal is to enter into the Business world, hopefully plugged in with a nonprofit group. This past summer I had the amazing opportunity to intern with The River Foundation, and after this experience, I feel this area is definitely my calling. I am currently working as a Graduate Assistant in the Dayton School of Business, and my job is to help “revamp” the Mentor Program, and raise awareness on what a great program we have to offer. This has been such a fun job as I am able to build connections, see the impact on students, and do lots of event planning which I love!
