Tim is passionate about integrating Christian faith and values into holistic business education and preparing students to use business as a vehicle for doing good in the world. His mission is to help students think critically and work collaboratively to address significant business and societal opportunities and challenges.
Tim has extensive business experience working for corporations that included Exxon, IBM, and Lexmark International. For more than 20 years, he held executive positions as Head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development and Head of International Business Development. Tim traveled extensively in these roles throughout Asia and Europe and had a one-year assignment in Europe. Earlier in his career, Tim also held management positions in finance, marketing, business planning, and product planning after starting his career as an engineer. He was an instructor for Lexmark’s Management Development Program. Tim also taught a class in Systems Thinking and Team Learning that espoused a more holistic approach to business using a collaborative team approach.
Personal:
- Married to Kerry, who is a native of Kentucky and is a Montessori teacher focused on early childhood education; Tim and Kerry have a daughter Maria
- Enjoy reading and researching, learning and teaching, hiking in nature and exercise and spending time with friends and family
- Born in Yonkers, NY, and the 2nd oldest of 6 children
- Lived in Greenwood, South Carolina, during his high school years, where he enjoyed playing high school soccer
- Tim and family are members of Pax Christi Church in Lexington, where he is a member of the Parish Council and the liaison for community outreach activities
