The Archives has an extensive searchable photo collection as well as a large unindexed collection that is sorted more by theme, subject, or time frame. We are also building a collection of digitized photos of significant people, places, and events in Asbury’s history.
The Archives has a collection of video in various formats containing local news reports, promotional materials, and college programs and productions. The Ford Philpot Evangelistic Association donated a large number of episodes of Ford Philpot‘s television program The Story, the first religious television show to be regularly broadcast in color. Some of these episodes have been transferred to DVD.
The Archives owns a large collection of audio in various formats. Among the pieces of interest in our holdings are large collections of messages by E. Stanley Jones, Dr. Dennis Kinlaw, and A.W. Tozer. There are many reel-to-reel audio pieces in the collection, including hours of recordings from the 1970 Asbury College Revival. Also, a project is currently underway to transfer episodes of the Asbury College radio devotional program from the early 1940’s entitled “The Morning Watch” from 16″ glass electrical transcriptions to digital format.
