At Asbury University, we focus on equipping you with the skills and credentials needed to excel in your career, while also prioritizing your long-term success and professional growth.
Asbury offers a rank 1 Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) which includes Principal Licensure, Instructional Supervisor certification and Director of Pupil Personnel certifications, and is for those who hold a master’s degree in Education and have completed three years of successful, certified teaching experience. Each new cohort begins in the fall semester. We offer Level 1 as a 30 credit hour certification program and Level 2 upon completion of six additional credit hours. Candidates may pursue an Ed.S. degree by completing a one credit hour research project. Ed.S. degree students qualify for federal financial aid.
Each of these certifications open up immediate job opportunities by using the Alternate Administrative Certification (formerly known as Option 6).
In addition to imparting essential leadership skills and knowledge, our programs emphasize the importance of ethical leadership, spiritual formation and developing a positive school culture in a challenging field of work. Spiritual health and growth are integral aspects of your personal and professional development, and our programs recognize the profound and lasting impact that faith can have on the future of Kentucky education.
