Asbury Expands Options in Popular Summer Camp Lineup

Camps in Wilmore include ImpactU, Summit, and athletics for all ages

May 28, 2024

Asbury University’s summer camps for high schoolers, beginning in June, include a new lineup of camps like Botany and Environmental Stewardship, Creative Writing, Education, Coding, and Sales and Marketing. Returning favorites include Equine, Film and Forensic Science on the campus in Wilmore throughout the month of June.

“These camps provide potential scholarship opportunities and cultivate spaces to dive into deep relationships, wrestle with new ideas, and make memories that will last a lifetime. And they provide opportunities for your faith to become your own,” said Junior Communication major Riley McChord. “I still work as a counselor every summer to be around this next generation of leaders!”

The residential camps, including ImpactU and SummitCamp are residential style high school camps that focus on a variety of content areas. Students in ImpactU can choose one subject area to study for the entire week and enjoy academic sessions led by experienced faculty and talented college students multiple times each day in a college-like experience and Christian community.

At SummitCamp, in partnership with Summit Ministries, high school students will learn and engage with today’s top worldview thinkers and apologists as they dive into topics of navigating faith and culture in the marketplace. Certain Summit attendees also are eligible for a $4,000 scholarship for Asbury University tuition.

Additionally, the lineup of Asbury Athletics camps include options for all ages in soccer, basketball, softball and volleyball.
