Experience Asbury Through ImpactU Camps

April 5, 2018

Student playing a violinWILMORE, Ky. — High school students who are looking to get a jumpstart in the careers, taste a bit of the Asbury experience or want to develop their passions should apply to Impact U, Asbury University’s summer academic camps, where students from across the country can explore their talents in Christian community.

Open to high school students, ImpactU offers week-long camps in equine studies, film, science, ministry and much more. ImpactU gives students hands-on instruction in the field of their choice by Asbury’s outstanding faculty, all while providing a residential college experience.

“ImpactU is an amazing opportunity for students to explore an academic area while getting a taste of life at Asbury,” said Shelby Weakley ’14 Gonia, visit specialist at Asbury. “With a broad range of camps — from Brass Music to Adventure Leadership to Creative Writing — there’s something for everyone. And as a residential program, it gives students an up-close experience of life in Asbury’s vibrant Christian community via living in the dorms, eating in the cafeteria, and meeting fellow students interested in the same area. After ImpactU, students aren’t just better equipped for college — they’re inspired to make a difference.”

New to the Impact U schedule is the Forensic Science Camp, where students will Join Asbury professionals for five days of hands-on learning, exploring the tasks involved in crime scene investigation. Students will reconstruct an accident from scene to analysis of evidence to court case reporting and report findings in a mock court case before a jury of parents.

All camps are staffed by experienced Asbury faculty and outstanding students, and fees include all food, housing, equipment and evening activities in addition to academic instruction.
