Bonita Cairns-Descoteaux is a professor of Social Work. Cairns-Descoteaux came to Asbury University from Roberts Wesleyan College where she was a professor of social work and psychology. Her areas of expertise include individual, couple and family therapy. Her current research focuses on developmental processes in transcultural adoptive families. Cairns-Descoteaux received her Ed.D. from the University of Rochester, M.S.W. from the University of Connecticut, M.Ed. from Worcester State College and B.A. from Asbury University.
