Spiritual Life Board (SLB) is concerned with educating the student body on how to apply a Christ-centered worldview amidst their cultural experiences locally, nationally, and internationally. The board is composed of student representatives from all classes and other organizations on campus.
SLB seeks to increase spiritual vitality on campus through communication with students and administration.
SLB holds representation on the board for the student mission fund (SMF) to distribute funds for students to grow their faith cross-culturally.
SLB coordinates with other branches of ASC and the Office of Spiritual Life to plan events centered around spiritual growth and development to equip our students to take their faith into the world.
The WHAM committee stands for Worship Him At Midnight and is led by a student(s) who is the chair of the committee and is composed of other students that have a passion for incorporating different worship methods into a collaborative worship night each month. The committee meets weekly to brainstorm ideas for each worship night. The events happen Friday nights at 10:30 in the Stuce.
The student chapel committee is led by a chair(s) and composed of students who have an insight into campus about who would be good to share in front of the student body in a monthly student chapel. The student chapel committee is also responsible for coming up with new and creative ways to incorporate students into chapel in non-traditional ways. Works under worship chair.
The prayer team serves to create a spirit of prayer across campus. They are called on to serve as volunteers to pray for and with students at events like WHAM, Fall Revival, Holiness Emphasis Week, etc. The prayer team helps distribute prayer resources across campus and plan and lead one 24/5 prayer week each semester. Led by the prayer chair.
The Discipleship Committee committee serves to plan topics for future discipleship talks, set up the Stuce night of & reset the room afterwards, and pray over the speaker for each discipleship talk. Led by the discipleship chair.
Equity and Worship’s purpose is to show campus that there are multiple ways in which to worship.
