I grew up in Pennsylvania and attended The King’s College, formerly of Briarcliff Manor, NY where I met my husband, Charles. We have been married since 1976 and have lived and worked in many states. My husband’s career (Athletic Director, Coach and Educator) has taken us from New Jersey, Florida, Georgia and now to Kentucky.
Previously I worked in a small Christian school in New Jersey for five years as a bookkeeper, secretary, and cheerleading coach. When our children came along, part-time jobs were all that I held (flower shop and bookkeeping) until we moved to Georgia where I taught and directed in a Christian Pre-school, Meadowbrook Kindergarten. My job here at Asbury began in 1993 as a part-time secretary to the Director and an archival assistant along with holding down another part-time job in the local flower shop, Kingdom Creations. My position has evolved into a full-time job as the Director’s secretary, Interlibrary Loan Manager, Signage maker, and Cheerleading Coach (stepped down in 2015). In 2020 I transitioned to a new role on campus as the Eagle Outlet Assistant Manager. I held that position (and loved it) for 15 months and then moved into the position of School of Education Coordinator of Undergraduate Programs. I love the people that I work with in the Education Department and look forward to my time here.
I am married to Charles and have three grown children and 9 grandchildren. All three of our children attended and graduated from Asbury. We are a very close family that enjoy vacations together, trips to Ventnor, NJ or any island we haven’t hopped to yet, including Edisto Island, Jekyll Island, Tybee Island, Amelia Island, St. George Island, and the Outer Banks. Our latest find is the Englewood, Florida area where we now enjoy the beaches there and the shark tooth hunting and shell gathering. We enjoy the beach together!
