Joseph worked as a truck driver in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade, while he and his wife Genevieve started their family in Springfield, Oregon. In 2020, Joseph received an MDiv with a concentration in Messianic Jewish Studies at The King’s University in Southlake, Texas. He has found that Jewish, and especially Messianic Jewish perspectives on the Bible and on God’s work in history richly complement traditional Christian views. Joseph is currently researching the temporal scope of biblical prophecy, focusing on the prediction of the fall of Assyria in the Book of Nahum. He expects to complete his PhD in Biblical Studies, with an Old Testament focus, at Asbury Theological Seminary in the next two to three years. In addition to his teaching at Asbury University, Joseph also continues to teach biblical Hebrew at ATS. After graduation, he hopes to continue teaching in a Christian context at the undergraduate or graduate level.
