Médine Moussounga Keener holds a Ph.D. from the University of Paris. She is currently the pastoral care coordinator for community formation at Asbury Theological Seminary, and she has taught French at Asbury University and Eastern University. She wrote her dissertation related to African-American women’s history and has published various articles in Dictionary of African Christian Biography as well as articles concerning women in Africa and various other subjects. She coauthored Reconciliation for Africa with her husband Craig Keener. This booklet on ethnic reconciliation is used in many countries in Africa. She and her husband also wrote the autobiographical book Impossible Love, which chronicles her journey out of war and life after. Both in Francophone Africa and in the United States, she has publicly shared her experiences of war and reconciliation.
