The son of missionaries, Mr. Dupree spent his childhood in Japan. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Asbury University and a Masters degree in Management of Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Dupree began his career working for a retail computer company. Since then he has worked in higher education, first at the University of Kentucky (Center for Robotics) and next at Berea College in Kentucky, and finally at Asbury University in 2000.
In 2009 Mr. Dupree was awarded the top 50 CIO’s award at the Midsized Enterprise Summit in Los Angeles.
Paul Dupree has been the CIO and head of the Information Services Department at Asbury University since 2000. As an active member of the CCCU technology community, he has served as the chair of the CCCU Commission on Technology (2008-2010).
