The GRE General Test is required for admission to most graduate progams in the United States. The GRE covers Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
You can take the computer-delivered test once every 21 days, but no more than 5 times in a year. You can take the paper-delivered test as often as it is offered.
A paper based and a computer based test are both offered, however, the frequency of paper-based offerings are limited. There are two sections on verbal reasoning, two sections on quanitative reasoning, and 2 sections on analytical writing.
