Job Title: Temporary Travel Admissions Representative

Reports to: Director of Undergraduate Residential Admissions and Associate Director of Admissions

FLSA Classification: Temporary

 

Job Purpose:

Serve on the Enrollment Management Team and is directly responsible traveling and representing Asbury University at various college fairs and high schools across the United States.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruiting:

· Meet prospective students from across the United States and introduce them to Asbury University and all that it has to offer.

· Provide realistic insight into life at Asbury University so that student can garner interest to take a visit with us.

· Encourage students and parents to visit Asbury University for the full experience.

Admissions:

· Serve as a member of the Admissions Recruiting staff.

· Become knowledgeable in the admissions and financial aid process and cycle at Asbury University to a level capable to conveying information to students and parents.

· Work with territory counselors to determine high priority students or schools to meet with while traveling.

Financial Aid

· Learn and know how to explain how the Asbury Financial Aid model works for the incoming 2025 fall class.

Office

· When not traveling serve as an additional set of hands within the office and for special events on campus.

Accept other duties as assigned.

 

Physical requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This would require the ability to lift and carry flyers, booklets and promotional items from building to vehicle. Must be able to stand and converse for 2-3 hours consecutively. Must enjoy travel both by air and vehicle.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a contracted, 3-month long position lasting from 1 August, 2024 through 31 October, 2024. The hours vary based on times of meetings and college fairs.

Travel: Approximately 70% travel is expected for this position. There is no international travel required. All travel expenses with lodging, transportation and food are covered while traveling on behalf of the admissions office.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

· Experience in sales/marketing.

· The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and strict attention to details.

· Must be able to present a positive and accurate representation of Asbury University’s programs and facilities.

· A committed and dynamic Christian faith is vital along with the ability to support the University’s theological position, lifestyle standards and mission.
