Advising Resources for Faculty

Students often bring questions with them that fall beyond the scope of your role as advisor. Some are practical, such as, “What is the deadline to file my financial information?” or, “Can I add a minor?” Others concerns are less straightforward: “I’m not sure what I’m good at…am I in the right major?”

As needs pop up, encourage students to take advantage of the university’s network of support resources, even if they seem reluctant to consult another office, to ensure they have all the support and information they are seeking.

Academic Questions: The Office of the Registrar is the hub for nearly all advising and policy related questions – everything from graduation requirements to major and minor details to transferring, adding, dropping, or withdrawing from courses.
