Why Have Class?

Oct 13, 2021 — Priya Parker, author of The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters, has some great resources for thinking more deeply about the importance of gathering and about how to re-evaluate our patterns and practices of meeting—whether those are informal gatherings like the Wednesday/Friday lunches on the semi-circle organized by David Swartz or more formal gatherings like Faculty Assembly, committees, and department meetings.

“Post-Pandemic” Teaching

We wanted to get some idea of how people had managed teaching and learning during the stress of the COVID pandemic, as well as how they had fared with the HyFlex mode of instruction that we used to continue in-person classes.
