Mission

As a provider of Christ-Centered competent and compassionate healthcare, the Asbury University Health Services Clinic is dedicated to enhancing the educational process by modifying or removing health-related barriers to learning, promoting an optimal level of wellness, and enabling students to make informed decisions about health-related concerns.

Services

The Health Services Clinic offers appointments with registered nurses who evaluate health problems, treat according to protocol, and contact the University physician as needed. The physician holds regular clinic hours throughout the week. Consultations by appointment are available at no charge to full-time undergraduate students (with the exception of certain physicals). For further information on services and fees, see our nominal charges list:  Medication and Service Charges (subject to change).

Location

The Health Services Clinic is located in The Center for Wholeness and Wellness – a one-story brick building located behind the dining hall and to the left of the Aldersgate Commons Apartments (corner of West College and Hughes – view the campus map). We may be contacted by emailing  Health Services or by calling (859) 858-3511 x 2277 or (859) 858-5277.

Eligibility

The Health Services Clinic is available to all undergraduate students enrolled in at least nine hours per semester during the regular academic year. Because privileges at the Health Service are provided by tuition paid each semester, this benefit does not extend to spouses and/or children of students, regardless of insurance coverage.  Graduate students have access to fee-based services (see Medication and Service Charges above).

After Hours Care

A Nurse Triage line is available for urgent needs after hours by contacting the Asbury University Switchboard (859-858-3511 x 0).  A first-aid kit is in each residence hall and is accessible through the RA or RD.  Health Services encourages students to call 911 and contact the Switchboard for medical emergencies.
