An emphasis in television & video production provides students with the opportunity to study a variety of television productions: sports, dramatic, news and documentary. Students study the production process and take classes in editing, audio, and writing. Below are a few classes that really give students that hands-on experience.
Remote Production – A class that gives students hands-on experience producing, directing, and shooting events outside of the studio. Events include many sporting events and concert.
Sitcom Production – Learn how the networks produce a sitcom under the direction of Asbury Professor Doug Smart, a 22-year veteran director of sitcoms for CBS and ABC. The sitcom is shot in front of a live audience, giving the students the full experience of an actual set.
