Come take a trail ride with us this summer!
Enjoy a relaxing scenic horseback ride through forested trails overlooking the Kentucky River Palisades. Each trail ride is guided by our experienced students and steady, dependable horses, and is appropriate for all experience levels.
Advanced registration is necessary for all rides. Our trail rides are offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, May 21 through July 27, 2024, occasional days off. See Registration link for times available.

Cost
- $30 – current Asbury University Students (must show ID)
- $30 – current Asbury University Faculty/Staff & immediate children in same household under 18 years of age
- $40 – Community Participants & family members
- $50 – Private rides (maximum of 2 riders)
Some Important Things to Know
- Age: Riders must be at least 8 years old for trail rides; 11 years and younger must be accompanied by adult supervisor on the same ride.
- Double Riding: Not permitted.
- What to wear: Riders should wear long pants and closed toed shoes.
- Arrival Time: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your ride to check-in, complete paperwork and pay.
- Weather: If weather is unworthy of a ride, farm staff will call/text you to cancel. Chance of showers doesn’t mean there won’t be a ride.

- Payment: Made at the time of the ride. Checks accepted, made payable to: Asbury University. Cash not accepted.
- Permission Waivers: Required. Waivers are also available at the Equine Center.
- Previous riding experience: No previous riding necessary.
- Personal Horses: Not permitted due to state health requirements.
- Helmets (provided): Required.
- Rides are approximately 1 hour long.
- Anyone over 215 lbs are not permitted to ride.
