February 19, 2024 — Asbury University’s Office of Intercultural Affairs & Spiritual Development will host Rasool Berry (writer of Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom) February 26-28 for a series of engaging events centered around faith, culture, and racial reconciliation.
November 1, 2023 — Asbury University Assistant Professor of History Dr. Alex Mayfield published a book that explores the development of Pentecostalism in Hong Kong between 1907 and 1942.
October 3, 2023 — In September, the Asbury Honors Program hosted Kaitlyn Schiess on the topic of “The Ballot and the Bible: Scripture and Public Life,” and The Joe Pitts Center for Public Policy welcomed Ph.D. Candidate Abbie Wood to present her research of “When Justices Go Public: Supreme Court Members, Public Statements, and Court Legitimacy.”
September 7, 2023 — Coordinator of Outreach Ministry Teams Bridgette Campbell and Archives Assistants Charlotte Staudt ’21 and Diane Troyer joined Asbury University after the Outpouring to assist with the “sending out” of Asbury students around the globe and archiving the world’s response to the event.
March 2, 2023 — In February, as part of a three-credit course (PS 300: Washington Federal Seminar), 12 Asbury students visited Washington, D.C., to hear policymakers and activists, see landmark buildings and monuments, and to reflect upon the interaction of politics and faith.
January 11, 2023 — January serves as Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and Asbury remains dedicated to providing awareness to students through a new class in the political science department.
December 9, 2022 — Dr. Lisa Weaver Swartz, assistant professor of sociology, recently received the Jesus Creed Book of the Year Award from American theologian Scot McKnight for her book, Stained Glass Ceilings: How Evangelicals Do Gender and Practice Power.
November 28, 2022 — Dr. Alex Mayfield, assistant professor of history at Asbury University, co-published a new article about his work with the China Historical Christian Database, an international, multi-institution project which quantifies the history of Christianity in China from 1550 to 1950.

October 24, 2022 — Emmy-winning French-American documentary filmmaker and child survivor of the Holocaust, Pierre Sauvage, discussed the inspiration behind his film, as well as some of the key themes and messages that flowed through the experience.
