BU 393 Seminar Business as Mission in Puerto Rico – The field experience on site will focus on two business as mission entities – one as an established bakery/convenience store that was created as a community hub to connect with people in the area and become aware of needs and the other a start-up company to accomplish a dual purpose: repair and rebuild affordable housing in the area destroyed or damaged by hurricane Maria and to establish an income stream for Lync8 ministries.

- Eligible for Cross-Cultural Engagement Requirement (CCE 150EX)
Application Process
Trip Dates: June 28-July 6, 2025
To apply for the Business as Mission in Puerto Rico Travel Course, please follow the following application process:
- Fill out the Apply to an Off-Campus Program Form. Upon completion, you will be contacted by the Study Abroad Office.
- Fill out the Reference Form and select two persons to serve as references on your behalf. One should be an academic reference and the other should be someone who can speak to your character. An online reference form will be sent to each person. Please have them complete and submit the forms.
- The Online Application Form and the Reference Forms are due by November 1, 2024.
- Dr. Barbara Hamilton will contact students selected to participate by November 15, 2024.
- The first deposit ($150) is due December 1, 2024 to secure your spot on this travel course.
