Week 1 Camps: June 2-6, 2025


During this five-day camp, you will focus on the fundamentals of good acting for both stage and film, learn from Asbury faculty and develop friendships with other campers, all while having a blast! You’ll act through improv games and exercises, all the way to scene work for a comedy theatre showcase.

Join industry professionals for this five-day intensive utilizing Asbury’s cutting-edge Media Communication facilities. Film I provides an introduction to the art and skill of filmmaking.

  • Each student will work with professional film gear
  • Each student will learn the essentials of filmmaking, e.g. writing, directing, and editing
  • Each student will play a key role in the production of their short films
  • Each student will be able to screen their films for friends and family at the end of camp. This will occur in Asbury’s state of the art screening room
  • Other industry professionals will be visiting or teleconferencing into the film camp

Learn from some of Kentucky’s best teachers how to put the joy in teaching. Through a variety of engaging activities, you will experience learning facilitated by some of Kentucky’s best teachers. These master teachers share their contagious excitement for learning in ways that will inspire you to affirm your desire to become a highly effective teacher.

Hit the open trails this summer! Join the team from Asbury’s renowned Equine Program for five days of hands-on learning. You’ll not only ride on Asbury’s riverside trails, but also learn the dynamics of horsemanship and equine service & ministry.

Week 2 Camps: June 9-13, 2025


Join industry professionals for this five-day intensive utilizing Asbury’s cutting-edge Media Communication facilities. Film II is a more advanced camp that builds on the basics, so previous experience in film is helpful.

  • Each student will work with professional film gear
  • Each student will learn the essentials of filmmaking, e.g. writing, directing, and editing
  • Each student will play a key role in the production of their short films
  • Each student will be able to screen their films for friends and family at the end of camp. This will occur in Asbury’s state of the art screening room
  • Other industry professionals will be visiting or teleconferencing into the film camp

Join Asbury professors for five days of hands-on learning, using many of the latest techniques employed in ecology, biotechnology, and conservation biology today.

  • Conduct DNA fingerprinting on your own DNA
  • Collect and identify many aquatic invertebrates; take home your own collection
  • Examine genetically modified fish using molecular techniques to observe the foreign gene
  • Identify and collect many reptiles and amphibians while studying basic herpetology
  • Use environmental DNA detection and identification of captured organisms based on differences in their genomic DNA sequences

Join Asbury faculty for five days of hands-on learning and mystery-solving while you gain skills and experience in the field of forensic science. Play detective and explore the tasks involved in modern crime scene investigation by reconstructing an accident just like the professionals.

  • Evaluate an accident scene using attention to detail and deductive reasoning.
  • Collect and analyze prints of all kinds – fingerprints, shoe prints and tire prints.
  • Examine evidence collected using lab techniques, including physical characteristics of dirt samples and chemical aspects powder and blood samples
  • DNA analysis
  • Report findings in a mock court case before a jury of parents.

Come spend a week storytelling with us! Screenwriting camp will be a five-day deep dive into the world of writing scripts, including structure, idea generation, habits of the writer, and sparking creativity. Learn alongside an Asbury professor with professional experience in film, television, web, animation and more.

  • Develop and write several short scripts
  • Learn structure and characterization tricks and tips
  • View shorts/features from the masters to see how it’s done
  • Discover sources to unlock your creativity
  • Garner insight to the business of screenwriting

Camp Tuition

Total Cost: $550

  • This sum includes a $100 non-refundable deposit at time of registration. You will receive an email after you register with a link to pay the remaining $450 balance. Upon payment, a receipt will be emailed to the student email address that we have listed on the registration form.
  • If you register now, payment in full is due no later than June 1, 2025. If you register after June 1, payment is due within one week of registration (or at time of check-in if registering less than one week before camp begins).
