Kevin Bellew is the Associate Dean of Wholeness and Wellness at Asbury University.  His administrative responsibilities include oversight and direction of The Center for Wholeness and Wellness which includes the Center for Counseling, Student Health Services, and Asbury Health and Fitness.  His clinical responsibilities include individual, couples, group, and crisis counseling for students as well as training/supervision of practicum/internship graduate student counselors.  He received a B.S. in psychology from Saint Louis University and a M.S. in counseling psychology from the University of Kentucky.  He has been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2001 with experience in strength based, multi-systemic treatment, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).  His professional experiences range from home-based family therapy to high school teacher to boarding school administrator to outpatient mental health counselor to university counselor and administrator.  He practices and trains graduate students in Internal Family Systems (IFS) , a non-pathologizing model of psychotherapy quite consistent with his Christian faith.  He is also trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Centering Prayer, and QPR (a gatekeeper training program for suicide prevention).  When not in the office, Kevin enjoys life outdoors in the woods, on the river, in the garden, jogging around town with the Wilmore Road Runners, camping, and visiting National Parks.  He is married to Sarah, professor of social work, and together they have six kids growing into adulthood way too quickly.
