BIO

Sharon Bixler is the Dean of the School of Education. She received her BA in Mathematics and her MAEd from Georgetown College.  She completed her PhD in STEM Education at the University of Kentucky. Her research interests involve the use of technology in P-12 classrooms, specifically in the areas of mathematics and science. Sharon lives in Lexington with her husband, Dwayne, and enjoys spending time with her two granddaughters.
