The Collaborative Learning Center brings together innovation and technology in a collaboration-focused learning hub
Imagine a customized academic experience that brings your future into focus by learning in a cutting-edge facility that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and transformation of the whole person—mind, body, and soul. This is what it means to learn in Asbury University’s new Walt and Rowena Shaw Collaborative Learning Center.
The $25 million, 59,000-square-foot Shaw CLC brings together future entrepreneurs and scientists, health-care professionals and marketing experts to learn from, and with, each other. The Shaw CLC houses Asbury’s Dayton School of Business, Shaw School of Sciences, SEARCH at Asbury, a 400-seat auditorium, breakout rooms for hosting conferences, common areas and sales training rooms.
The fully-funded new space provided by the Shaw CLC allows for rigorous academic scholarship that will touch nearly all university departments, and also allows a space to discuss relevant issues at the core of students’ Christian faith.

“The Collaborative Learning Center signals the commitment on the part of Asbury University to current and future science faculty and students. Laboratory design, instrumentation, experimental methods, and available technology have all changed since the Hamann-Ray Science Center was built in 1960. The new laboratory spaces and technology in the Collaborative Learning Center will allow students and faculty to build on this tradition of excellence.”
