MSAC Degree Format and Length

Complete Asbury’s MSAC degree in as few as 18 months. With 100% online classes, the flexible format accommodates the needs of working professionals seeking career advancement and offers freedom for students of all professional levels and responsibilities.


Generally, it is assumed that students have completed a program in accounting (major, minor, or undergraduate certificate). However, if the student does not have an undergraduate degree in accounting, it is expected that the following undergraduate courses were completed with a grade of “C” or better:

  • ACA/ACC 201 Financial Accounting
  • ACC 202: Managerial Accounting
  • ACC 301: Intermediate Accounting
  • ACC 302: Intermediate Accounting II
  • ACC 305: Cost Accounting
  • ACC 307: Principles of Income Tax
  • ACC 361: Management Information Systems
  • ACC 402: Basic Auditing

Asbury’s community sets you up for success through knowledgeable professors who worked in the accounting industry and who help prepare you for the CPA exam, and through peers who encourage you both in and out of the virtual classroom. Our alumni routinely earn high passing scores on the CPA exam.

Online MSAC Degree Requirements

Asbury’s MSAC programs require a total of 33 credit hours. You’ll take a balance of core accounting courses and selected business courses tailored to the degree.

  • 18 credits in core Dayton School of Business MSAC courses
  • 15 credits in MBA courses

Students will be able to demonstrate accounting competency through skills that reflect organizational proficiency and strategic decision making forged from an ethically-minded and spiritually-grounded perspective. This program can be customized to fit your unique journey, both professionally and spiritually, and our experienced faculty are always here to shepherd you toward success.
