At Asbury University, students are immersed in academic excellence from the moment they set foot on campus. Small class sizes, engaged faculty and challenging coursework provide a framework in which students can thrive.
Asbury marries academic excellence and spiritual vitality to provide students with the tools needed to grow in both learning and faith. Through this unique mission, Asbury works to come alongside students as they discover and begin to use their God-given gifts and talents to impact the world in the marketplace and on the mission field.
With a 12:1 student/faculty ratio, students are given the space to learn in collaborative environments and receive hands-on instruction and learning experiences. Over 80 percent of Asbury faculty hold terminal degrees, bringing special subject matter expertise with them to each and every class.
Students are given experiential learning and professional experiences in every major at Asbury. Education majors complete practicums in local schools, Equine students train horses in Asbury’s Equine Center and, since 1984, 600 Media Communication students have worked in paid media positions around the world at the Olympic Games.
Students can also participate in research opportunities like the SEARCH Symposium and the COMAP Math Modeling Competition to further sharpen their academic skills.
