Asbury Athletics’ Team AU now offers a Most Valuable Player (MVP) Program, which allows students to become involved in all aspects of sports media.
“Being part of this team has shown me how valuable of an asset I am for the Athletics Department, and I’ve been so grateful for how much I’ve been able to be a part of this crew,” said senior Noah Clark, the PA announcer for Asbury sports. “I’m hoping to finish this season strong for my senior year, and to leave my role as ‘Voice of the Eagles’ on a great note for this final year.”
MVPs will get the unique opportunity to develop their skills and talents in sports management, sports information, and sports broadcasts on live events for Asbury. Team members will work directly with TeamAU graduate assistants and AU’s Director of Athletic Communications.
“The MVP program provides students with valuable and practical experience in the field of sport event management. Our “MVP-ers” film games, participate in stat recording, provide on-air commentating, and manage logistics of our athletic events throughout the year,” said Associate Athletics Director Benjamin Andrews. “Alongside our own athletics event management staff, the students are able to create their portfolio to share with future employers in the field.”
