Beginning fall 2024, the Asbury University Online Undergraduate Program will launch the 100% fully online Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration within the Dayton School of Business (DSB).
“We believe that education extends beyond the walls of a classroom,” said DSB Dean and Associate Professor of Accounting Dr. Alesha Graves. “It is our desire to provide relevant and engaging opportunities for our students to be prepared for the jobs of the future. Our faculty continually review courses and programs so that they meet the needs of a changing marketplace.”
This year, the DSB celebrates 10 years of training leaders to be the best for the world. In 2014, Asbury University dedicated the School of Business given Howard Dayton’s and his late wife Beverly’s “service and sacrifice.” Read their story.
DSB students continue to thrive with internships and careers at Microsoft, EY, G&A Partners, GE, Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Enterprise Holdings, First Southern National Bank, Gray Television, Lexington Legends, Lexington Clinic, PNC, Signant Health, Solovis, Stock Yards Bank & Trust, Tempur-Sealy International, The Salvation Army, and Total Quality Logistics.
A recent addition to the DSB includes the Center for Professional Selling, which provides a formal avenue for sales education in the DSB. The DSB recently announced the Certificate in Professional Sales, an 18-credit program providing formal recognition of significant training in professional sales available to Asbury undergraduate Business students. “The Sales Role Play rooms allow students to develop their sales skills in offices that look like the kinds of offices in which they’ll be selling in their careers someday,” said Dr. George Allen, Asbury’s Center for Professional Selling director.
This spring, the Asbury Sales Team competed in multiple events, with students securing first-time wins in challenging new products and sales situations.
“I am very proud of these competitors who represented the Lord and Asbury well as they worked hard to prepare over the last several months and then competed well at their events,” said Allen.
The DSB offers five majors (Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Sport Management), five minors (Accounting, Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Sport Management), the MBA program, the M.S. in Accounting program, and the Online Business Management program. Learn more.
Students accepted into the Asbury +Grad MBA and M.S. in Accounting programs can take graduate-level courses during their undergraduate programs with nine graduate credit hours being included within the traditional undergraduate tuition. Learn more.
