This morning in Chapel we had the pleasure of hearing our own students, Timmy Bradshaw, Shannon Hreyo, and Claire Van Der Eems, who went on mission trips over the summer, speak about their experiences of getting out of their comfort zone, experiencing God's Love, and "oneness" while serving the kingdom.
Dr. Steve DeNeff addresses Asbury on topics of keeping a pure heart, living in the margins of society, and living quiet and peaceable lives.
Dr. Kevin Brown of the Howard Dayton School of Business speaks to Asbury on virtue, freedom, and how to order our desires.
Jim Daly, Focus on the Family's President and CEO, speaks to Asbury about how Christ is the father to the fatherless and is a part of the real family.
Today during Chapel, Asbury was addressed by their Student Body Congress. Mindi Wafford, this year's Vice President for Spiritual Life, spoke on destiny, being adopted into God's love, and the image of the Son.
Asbury's students are addressed about statistics, the cross, and doing whatever God wants.
Dr. Helen Rader spoke to the student body about transforming from their past, present, and future.
Rev. Greg Haseloff spoke to the student body about the theme for this year's spiritual board and vision for the campus of, "Behold." The students heard about transformation, witness, and what it means to be nurtured.
