With one of the highest graduate media-hire rates in the nation, Asbury’s Master of Arts in Communication is a 30-hour online program designed for professional communicators or recent graduates seeking to expand their strategic and global communication insights and abilities all through a Christian worldview. You will have access to top experts in their fields and incredible partnerships like the Olympics, Sundance Film Festival and more.
The Asbury +Grad Program is designed to give Asbury undergraduate students from all areas of study the opportunity to obtain advanced graduate standing.
As an undergraduate student, you can complete up to 9 credit hours of your graduate degree through the +Grad program. This means that upon graduation from Asbury with your undergrad degree, you can complete a master’s degree in as few as 12 additional months, depending on the program.

Asbury’s Master of Arts in Communication is paired with one of the nation’s top media communication programs, and where our graduates have been involved in 450 nationally distributed films, and more than 700 different television series. Communication master’s students can take any of these highly sought after media courses or cross over into dynamic business and leadership courses as electives to complement their master’s coursework.
Ultimately our craft is driven by God-inspired creativity, and we seek to glorify Christ, the Master Communicator, in this work.
The program’s critique and discussion-based approach, along with practicum-oriented coursework, fosters creativity and personal growth, as noted by alumni.
The M.A. in Communication is an 30-credit hour program. In a flexible online format, students can pursue their coursework at different rates. If you’re a full-time student, it’s possible to complete the program in three semesters (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Other students, especially those with families and professional obligations, choose to spread the program out over two or three years. Professional experience may be considered for up to 3 hours of credit in place of a specific course.
This degree has prerequisites of courses or prior experience in Audio Production, Television Production and Single Camera Production.
