In Psalm 95, the psalmist takes the listener on a bizarre journey from immense praise to immense pain. Within the rhythm of this psalm, however, is a glimpse into how worship works. At its best, worship catches us between who we are now and who God is making us to be. It is a tension that grace beautifully inhabits, and a sobering yet freeing reminder for those of us who are practicing the moves of faith.
