Do you enjoy creating new things? You can personalize your creativity by studying Art & Design at Asbury. God is the ultimate artist, and we believe humans are created in His image to reflect this divinely inspired artisanship. In Asbury’s creative community, you’ll have opportunities to explore this important calling.
At Asbury University, you can study painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, multimedia, graphic design, photography and art history. Advanced Studio students are provided with studio space and complete a public senior exhibit prior to graduation.

Asbury art students enjoy a high rate of acceptance into graduate programs of their choice. Art & Design department students attend grad school at places like:

My time in the Art department was marked with being challenged by the faculty to improve my craft with a strong base of knowledge in contemporary art and art history. I was pushed to explore my art and get outside my comfort zone, and the faculty was invested in the improvement of my work as well as my academics and spiritual life. The faculty are not only excellent instructors but also actively pursuing their own art, giving me the chance to watch working artist ahead of me in their careers."
Where you’ll Learn
Students study in the Art & Design department have access to individual studios, gallery and exhibition spaces. Enjoy regularly scheduled departmental trips to major art collections.
