Do you enjoy working with particular age-groups – children, or adolescents, or maybe senior adults? Do you love interacting with people to help them know Jesus and grow deeper in Him? Asbury University’s Christian Ministry department programs prepares students for leadership in the disciple-making and teaching ministry of the church and parachurch.
Preparation is supported through study of human developmental patterns and ministry approaches throughout the life cycle. A concern for organizational leadership and curricular resources contributing to spiritual formation is reflected in course offerings. Experiential learning occurs throughout the program.
The School of Christian Studies at Asbury University is a place where theological exploration and spiritual growth converge, preparing you to fulfill your calling in the most impactful ways. Whether you are called to serve in the church, the academy, or the broader world, Asbury provides the education and spiritual foundation to help you answer that call.
“There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for my education at Asbury and the time you personally invested in my call. I’m positive that I could not do what I do now without the training I received at Asbury.”
Students studying in the Christian Ministry department usually plan to serve in a church, Christian camp, or other ministry with primary emphasis on children’s ministry, youth ministry, or other educational/discipleship ministry.
However, due to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, graduates can be found in a wide variety of careers. *Additional academic work may be needed to work in some fields.

With compassionate experts in their fields, guiding you, you’ll receive a holistic education that blends faith and scholarship.
