Like many of Asbury’s science and health majors, the chemistry major features small class sizes that reinforce one-on-one learning starting in your introductory courses and continuing to your advanced-level coursework.

Asbury’s school-wide average student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1, and chemistry majors often take courses with fewer than 20 students. Science and Health Department faculty are always close by to answer your queries and address your needs.

Chemistry major requirements integrate each sub-discipline of the field. You’ll gain direct experience in courses such as:

  • Inorganic Chemistry
  • Organic Chemistry
  • Analytical Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Physical Chemistry
  • Calculus
  • Physics

From your professors to your peers, student support is meaningfully integrated across Asbury’s physical and virtual campuses to help guide you in each facet of your college experience.

Career and professional development are important, but we believe that personal development and community connections are just as essential.
