Life-Changing Experiences

Want chances to share and explore your work? While belonging to a thriving creative art and writing community here on campus, you will have opportunities for publication or a position as an editor, submission reader, or publisher with the university’s biannual literary and arts magazine, The Asbury Review. Interact with visiting poets and fiction writers active in the creative art field.

You can also be involved with campus open mic nights or internship opportunities with local small presses or nonprofits like The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning. These types of real-world job experiences allow you to market your work to prospective employers while emphasizing strengths in professional and creative writing.

Meet our creative writing faculty

At Asbury University, you will learn from Christian scholars and published authors who specialize in a wide variety of emphases. These dedicated scholars will help you realize your fullest potential — preparing you to have an impact on your career, family and community for Christ and His Kingdom.
