Asbury’s Set Apart Retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience. Every student can attend a Set Apart Retreat — which are all-expenses-paid trips to locations like Florida, Colorado or Tennessee that focus on Christian worldview and drawing closer to God — within their first four semesters at Asbury. The entire cost of Asbury’s Set Apart retreats are covered by the generosity of the Price Foundation and others, so that there is no barrier for students to participate.
Over the retreat, a blend of full group sessions, workshops and small group time help students think deeply about their faith and cultivate a stronger Christian worldview. Students build stronger community and new friendships while reflecting on God’s created purpose for them.
Our Set Apart Retreats are three days of time away from campus either at the beach or in the mountains. Throughout this time, students are paired with Asbury faculty and staff members in seven-to-one ratios, allowing for deeper conversations. Plus, you’ll have a little bit of time set aside for fun.
Every AU undergraduate student (even online students!) gets to attend a Set Apart Retreat at no cost
Filled with memories and new friends

This trip was a great reminder of the need for rest and identifying and implementing daily rhythms in my life to help me connect more intentionally with God. It’s very easy to put it to the side when life gets busy, but this retreat was a reset button for me to bring these practices back.”
In October 2021, the Price Foundation provided a seed grant to launch the Set Apart Retreats which has impacted the lives of hundreds of students. Asbury is seeking to endow the retreats through the generosity of donors so funds will be available to continue them for generations to come.
