December 9, 2022 — Dr. Marvin Ruffner, assistant professor of biology at Asbury University, remains dedicated to bringing public awareness about the harmful ecological effects of honeysuckle, a species with origins in Asia.
November 22, 2022 — On November 17, Sam Powdrill and Dr. Stan Pletcher from EyeMobil Innovations spoke to the Asbury community about their new EPIC II Operating Microscope, which provides ophthalmologists with a portable microscope that makes the cure to cataract blindness accessible to the most remote parts of the globe.
October 26, 2022 — Three current students and two recent graduates from Asbury University participated in the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover at the Kentucky Horse Park on October 12-15 under the leadership of trainer and coach Jessica Hayes. They were joined by trainers, groomers, and coaches from around the nation.
October 21, 2022 — In August, Dr. Ben Brammell, professor of biology at Asbury University, published research findings in the journal Herpetological Conservation and Biology. Coauthors included four Asbury University undergraduates (Florene Bell ’19, Angie Flores Madrid ’19, Chi Jing Leow ’20, Dr. Ronald Sams ’17), an Asbury alumnus (Dr. Kenton Sena ’12, University of Kentucky), as well as collaborators Dr. Thomas Maigret (University of Kentucky) and Dr. David Peyton (Morehead State University).
