Freshman Application

Complete and submit your application through Common App or our online application form.

Asbury University is test optional. However, for students who plan to send their test scores, use the following codes when ordering scores directly from the test provider:

• ACT code: 1486
• SAT code: 1019
• CLT: Select Asbury University as a score recipient

Official transcripts are required from your high school before your application can be reviewed. Transcripts should be sent directly from the institution to the Asbury University Admissions Office.

• Homeschool students: Your transcript must include courses taken, grades earned, class rank (if available) and your cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average), among other items. See the full list of required transcript information.
• International students: Please review the international admissions process.
• GED students: Submit official copies of your GED (General Education Development Test) scores in place of a high school transcript.

You are considered a freshman for the application and financial aid processes if you have not taken any college/university classes more recently than the summer after your high school graduation.

If you have taken dual credit/dual enrollment classes, you can transfer them to Asbury to count toward your degree by sending transcripts from the sponsoring college/university upon your acceptance to Asbury.

Asbury accepts transfer credit from AP, CLEP, IB and AICE tests. To receive credit, submit test results to the Asbury University Admissions Office after you have been admitted.

To be successful in college, we recommend that you take the following classes in high school:

• English – four years including one year of Composition
• Mathematics – three to four years including Algebra
• Social Studies – two years including one year of History
• Laboratory Science – two to three years
• Foreign Language – two years of the same language

Your Asbury Checklist is an online system that allows you to see in real time what we need you to do to move forward in the process of coming to Asbury. This online Checklist will be your main source of information and next steps from the time you submit your application until you move on campus.

How to log in: Use the same email address and password that you used for your Asbury application. Common App applicants should set up their Asbury Checklist login credentials using the link in the “Next Steps” email that will arrive within 48 hours after application submission.
